GPA Success Organized Clean Development Mechanism Stakeholders Meeting 

Green Power Asia Pte Ltd (GPA) is proud to announce the Clean Mechanism Development (CDM) stakeholders meeting on Fuji Oil (S) Pte Ltd Cogeneration Project, organized at Marina Mandarin on 21st March 2011, was successful and received good feedback from stakeholders.

In the welcome speech by GPA’s director, Mr Pete Tin, had explained how this project will bring win-win situation to Fuji Oil and GPA, where Fuji Oil will not only able to secure lower cost on steam and electricity bill but also to fulfil their expansion plan, while GPA get the 15 years of Utilities Supply Agreement and the flexibility to export excess electricity and steam to grid and neighbouring off-takers.

Besides business aspect, Mr Pete Tin did mention many companies are reluctant to actively take part in promoting greener energy and environmental friendly mechanism, with the believe of these actions will sacrifice economy growth., where huge capital and long payback period remain the biggest hindrance. “GPA believes and works toward to balance economic development and climate change mitigation, by being more energy efficient. Business can benefit from significant cost savings and increased productivity when they incorporate energy efficiency improvements in their facility”, said Mr Pete Tin.

"Green Power Asia is incorporated as an investment entity which providing different financing alternatives and platforms together with customized tailor-made solutions for each individual client specifically in Singapore as well as in the South East Asian region.  Capitalizing on the strengths of Euroasiatic Machinery (S) Pte Ltd and on the recent Electricity License approval of being a Wholesaler Licensee and participant for Power Generation in the Singapore market, Green Power Asia aims to capitalize on the development of small to medium sized heat and power systems with a focus on energy efficiency and associated CDM benefits”, said Mr Henry Maehl, director of Euroasiatic, parent company of GPA

Besides that, the speaker from Asia Carbon, Mr Yeo Kim Dek, GPA’s CDM consultant for this project, did express he is confident GPA’s cogeneration project is able to contribute in carbon emission reduction and also promote on sustainable development.
